Great jacket well worth the wait

Awesome! Definitely worth the wait!

This is a brilliant, robust, waterproof, and well-cut jacket for active use in the field. I only have one minor criticism and that is the external drawcord on the waist, personally, I would have preferred if this was internal. I am Impressed by the cut and quality though and already saving for a pair of Fortis trousers.

I bought the Field Jacket and it has met my expectations in every way. Warm, lightweight and provides excellent coverage. I chose the medium size and this is definitely the right one - I would normally be a large in most jackets. Delivery took 13 weeks from ordering and this is worth bearing in mind if you need a jacket before winter sets in.

Jacket arrived just as the wet windy weather arrived, so good timing really. Initial over view and thoughts I would say I was impressed at the quality. So glad I visited the shop to get a fitting as it fits just right, and recommend to anyone thinking of getting any of Fortis products, is to go try on the various sizes in their store before ordering. I initially thought I would be a medium, but turns out that I am a small. Been out several occasions now i the wind and rain and the jacket has performed well, keeping me dry, wind swept free and warm (with the correct mid layers of course). I like the low scooped back which offers a greater degree of protection as does the high neck collar. Things I would change, for me the sleeves could do with being a tad longer. I am 6ft tall, 42" chest and find that they sit a little high. Probably something I should have thought of when I went for a fitting although then it did not seem a problem. Secondly, having an inside pocket is very useful, however the zipped entrance is at the top. Personally I think this would be better if it were a side entrance which would make it much easier to access (especially as it seems that I have long arms). Overall, my opinion would be that this is a great jacket, ideal for daily use and holds it's ground in less favourable weather conditions. Thank you Fortis.

Fabulous jacket and well made, but design fault on pockets. Chest pockets are wrong way around. Also when I put my hand in the bottom pocket, water runs down the sleeve into it.

After testing out the size and fit when you visited Moy Field games , I made a purchase. It arrived and I have been using it for a few weeks, the fit and feel are great and so far it has been good in the weather we have had. I often wear many layers and this jacket has room to accommodate. I'm hoping to have a good life span out of this purchase.
