Spray on Water Repellent

Tried and tested here at Fortis HQ, this is the best re-proofing spray you will find. If you are looking to waterproof a garment or reclaim the ‘beading effect’, this spray will achieve just that. It is the perfect add on for your Fortis Garments!

How to Use Your Fortis® Water Repellent Spray

1. Give It a Bath
   Wash your garment the best you can – preferably a gentle cold hand wash like your grandmother would do. If you must use a machine, no higher than 30°C, and please – for the love of all things waterproof – use a non-bio detergent.
2. No Tumble Tantrums
   After its bath, hang it up and let it drip-dry naturally. Tumble dryers are a bit aggressive, and your garment deserves better.
3. Spray to Slay the Rain
   Once bone-dry (no cheating – not just “mostly” dry), give it a generous, even spray of Fortis® Water Repelent all over the outer surface. Think of it like suncream – don’t miss the edges.
4. Dry Again. Yes, Again.
   Let it air dry once more. Make a cup of tea. Or two. No need to rush perfection.
5. Activate Waterproof Wizardry
   When treated properly, water should bead up and roll off like a well-trained duck’s back. Reapply when the garment starts looking a bit thirsty.

Works On:
Nylon, wool, tweed, fleece, softshell, GORE-TEX®, and most natural or man-made fabrics. (Basically, everything but your Grandmothers fine china.)
