The Fortis Foundation (FF) is dedicated to bridging local and national communities with the rural landscape and agricultural sector. Our mission is to create a safeguarded, sustainable environment for inclusive, community-driven education.
With a sprawling 100 acres of active farmland and woodland, FF is poised to enlighten communities about the intrinsic value of Mother Nature, agriculture, and wooded areas. The question that greets every visitor at the Fortis Foundation is simple yet profound: Why should we collaborate with and care for Mother Nature?
At FF, we are a beacon of education, nurturing an understanding of why it is imperative to protect and sustain our countryside and biodiversity for the well-being of present and future generations.
FF will create an inclusive learning environment for individuals from diverse communities, with a special focus on those from disadvantaged backgrounds. This unique opportunity will enable hands-on, experiential learning on the FF Farm.
Farming practices are often misconceived and misrepresented. FF aims to demystify the rural sector by answering fundamental questions:
– Why do we shear sheep?
– What is the purpose of wool in our lives?
– Why is woodland management essential?
– How and why do we address vermin and predators?
In partnership with Fortis Clothing, The Fortis Farm will jointly illustrate the vital interplay between communities and Mother Nature. Together, they will emphasize the necessity of collaborative efforts to preserve and nurture our ecosystem for the well-being of future generations.
