Discovering Dartmoor

At Fortis Outdoor Clothing, our passion lies in crafting high-quality, durable garments that empower outdoor enthusiasts to embrace adventure with confidence. As we set out to find a location for our collection of items, we sought inspiration from the untamed wilderness of Dartmoor. Its rugged terrain and ever-changing weather presented the perfect challenge to showcase our clothing. 

Choosing Dartmoor as the backdrop for our photoshoot was a decision rooted in both practicality and inspiration. As one of the largest and most diverse wilderness areas in England, Dartmoor offered a wealth of stunning landscapes to explore.

Months of meticulous planning went into preparing for our Dartmoor Shoot. We sought out places that captured the essence of Dartmoor – rugged, wild, and utterly captivating. 

One of the highlights of our researching for our Dartmoor shoot was discovering the variety of iconic landmarks that could be served as the backdrop for our photoshoot. One that stood out was Fogginton Quarry. It stands as a testament to nature’s raw power and enduring majesty. Carved over centuries by the relentless forces of wind and water, this ancient quarry boasts towering cliffs, labyrinthine caves, and pools that change movement with the weather. It is a landscape of contrasts – at once harsh and serene, barren yet teeming with life. For us, Fogginton Quarry embodied the essence of Fortis Outdoor Clothing: tough, resilient, and unyielding in the face of adversity.

Dartmoor proved to be more than just a backdrop for our photoshoot – it was a source of inspiration and a reminder of why we do what we do.
