Our elite outdoor Recon smock is simple and does exactly what it says on the tin! The best smock on the market and its made in Britain!
It has a strong ripstop outer and a waterproof breathable drop liner inner and an optional fibre pile lining. It is designed to be used for a wide range of activities and has a wealth of pockets for storage of objects such as a map and compass as well as pit zips for ventilation. The Long Recon Smock is often worn during country pursuits whilst the Short Recon Smock (4” shorter) is designed to be a casual smock that can be used when walking the dogs through the forest or on the beach. The Smock is easy to put on and take off with excellent waterproofing properties. The Fibre Lining offers increased warmth ideal for those cold winter mornings out walking or on the farm. Please note that the Fibre Pile options will include zip openings on both sides of the garments to aid putting on and taking off.
The Recon Smock is true to size and is an over sized style. We
would recommend our customers to go for the same
size they would usually buy on the high-street.

Needless to say both have been thoroughly used and abused for a few years in the harshest of conditions and neither have skipped a beat. Faultless bits of kit. Now I don’t look anywhere else other than Fortis.

After many so called all weather proof Coates over the years all leaked in heavy rains, wore my smock for the first time today , the rain hammer down all day Perfectly dry never got wet, and the over weather trousers kept me dry , highly recommended the fortis products.

Used a Field Smock whilst beating. 5 hours in the rain, including 2 hours in 5 foot high kale and 6 foot high Maize. Perfectly waterproof!! Comfortable, well made and effective

I had seen these smocks around and was unsure but after getting wet on shootdays I bit the bullet and got one and have not looked back since the pockets are nice and big all with zips I have worn it on wet shootdays and been dry as a bone after I couldn’t recommend these coats enough best thing I have bought in a long time

Best smock ever a very practical and well designed smock. Had this in the elite fabric which I found to be more durable in brash and bramble but still breaths allowing me to stay warm and dry while stalking very happy with the service from fortis it’s staff are very friendly and helpful
